Remembering the party I went to last friday to celebrate Internet Day got my ideas ticking. Because I arrived early, I had the chance to walk arround Club Oasis before it filled up and I was able to take several pictures.

Today, I realize that I was too lucky to have got there before everyone else, because I had the oportunity to take a quick shot at he who has become our #StyleIcon of the week at Cian Mode.

There are so many words that can be used to describe our icon that mentioning him with as little as his name seems not to be enough. However, “Santiago Artemis” is a synecdoche for all of those adjectives that come to mind. So, why not cut to the chase.

Santiago Artemis is a young fashion designer (he is freakin’ 22!!) that has already managed to make his brand well known within his country, Argentina, and at an international scale too (he’s designed several items for Katy Perry!!!).

Santiago’s passion for design comes through with every garment in his collections. He is excentric but never ceases to create glamourous and femenine attires.

Santiago Artemis es un diseñador de modas  joven (¡¡tiene apenas 22 años!!) que ya ha conquistado el mercado en su país natal, Argentina, cómo también en el exterior (¡¡¡ha diseñado varias piezas para Katy Perry!!!).

La pasión que siente Santiago por el diseño nos llega a través de cada una de las prendas de sus colecciones. Es excéntrico pero nunca deja de crear atuendos glamorosos y femeninos.

Internet Day is celebrated on the 17th of May in several countries in Latin America and in Spain.

In Argentina, Magazine G7 and Fibertel got together to throw an amazing party at the Club Oasis in Palermo Soho. I was lucky to have been invited by Mechi and Marina from Muchnik.co.

As part of the celebration, the Like Star Awards were handed out by Ronnie Arias to those people who are especially popular on Twitter. In this case, the winners were:

Fashion was also an important part of the event. Santiago Artemis, an ecléctic and excentric argentine designer presented Fibertel +Moda, a new dinamic online magazine.

Happy Friday everyone! As usual, I’ve chosen some #FridayHues to write about today. This time, I got inspired by Pesqueira’s new A/W collection. 

I believe that beige/champainge/gold go very well with navy blue, and this is exactly what the brand has come up with. They have also included other colours in their palette, but I have concentrated in these two tones.

Besides the chosen tints, the prints are key to this collection. Florals and zoo inspired designs contribute to create an innocent and femenine atmosphere. Toile de jouly prints also add some vintage elegance to each piece.

Pesqueira manages to create a balance between dicotomies such as sexy and innocent; modern and vintage and serious and playful attitudes towards life.

Creo que los colores beige/champagne/dorado y el azul marino combinan muy bien, y esto es exactamente lo que propone la marca. También han incluido otros tonos en la paleta, pero solo me he concentrado en estos dos.

Además de los tintes elegidos, las estampas son claves en la colección. Diseños florales e inspirados en la poética zoo contribuyen a crear un clima inocente y femenino a la vez. Los estampados tipo toile de jouli también añaden algo de elegancia vintage a cada pieza.

Pesqueira logra crear un balance entre dicotomias tales como lo sexy y lo inocente; lo moderno y lo vingate y lo serio y lo lúdico. //
